I have worked in the pharmacy profession since 2000 when I started out as a trainee pharmacy technician in a hospital pharmacy.
Since qualifying I have held many different roles within the department, from Shift Working Technician working alongside the aseptic and dispensary teams within the day and supporting the pharmacist out of hours, to Clinical Pharmacy Technician working with a large team of technicians and other healthcare professionals on the wards supporting patients with their medication.
Outside of work I enjoy socialising, spending time with family and friends. I run regularly and have a half marathon coming up in October.
-
My Typical Day:
My days are quite varied- some days I work more operationally within the department and other days I am hidden away in the office writing procedures, responding to queries, attending meeting etc.
I’m often involved with supporting and implementing projects and service improvements that are going on within the department or Trust which can be quite time consuming.
