As a practice nurse and in general in primary care we are speaking to patients initially over the phone and then bringing them in if we need to. It means people don’t spend time sitting in waiting rooms and can get on with their day but it can be hard to assess something if we cannot see it and rely on someone giving us the right information.

Covid meant that when I started working for the NHS I was working from home. This made it harder to get to know some of my colleagues because there was no office chatter. I think it was about 6/7 months before met all of my team mates in person and then we all laughed think each other was taller on the screen than in real life.

In working form home it did mean much more screen time which I’m sure you have also been used to for school work. That can be quite tiring on your eyes.
